Bundles of Bracelets

I don’t know about you guys, but one of my favorite looks is wearing bundles and bundles of bracelets.  All of these quirky bracelets are an excellent way to show off your individual style.  Bunching and layering your favorite accessories is an amazing way to show the world your homemade fashion.  Show of your special style by mixing and matching colors and beads.  Hope you enjoy this DIY guide for creative bracelets.

Materials

3 yards of ribbon

2 dozen beads

Directions:

Cut the ribbon into 3 equal lengths 

Braid 6 inches of ribbon and secure the end with a rubber band

Braid in the beads by feeding the bead onto the middle strand and tightly braiding the other two strands around it

Continue feeding the beads onto the middle strand until you run out of beads

Finish with another 6 inches of braiding

Fasten with fasteners or just tie a knot to finish.

Lovin’ Lace

Do you love the glasses that we made last week? Well, here is a DIY guide to place those glasses on adorable coasters!  They will add the perfect touch to any coffee table!

Materials:

Ceramic Tile

Any lace pattern

Spray adhesive

Spray paint (any desired color)

Directions:

Spray one side of your lace with the spray adhesive

Secure the lace flat on the ceramic tile (the glue will hold it firmly in place)

Quickly spray the tile (just enough to get even color) 

After 1 minute, peel the lace off the tile

Glitter and Glue

Are you sick of the same old boring champagne glasses? Well, make your own glittery one just in time for New Years!

Materials:

Glitter paint

Champagne Glasses

Paint brush/sponge

Directions:

Pour some of the glitter paint into a small container

Apply small amounts of glitter paint onto your sponge/paint brush

Dab the paint around the base of the glass until there is a good coverage of paint (each glass will need around 2 coats of glitter paint)

Carefully twist and paint your glass (to get the fading look, use less and less paint towards the top of the glass)

Let the paint dry for about and hour

DRINK UP AND ENJOY!

So Cute it’s Scary

Happy Halloween everybody! If you want to decorate your home with everything spooky and scary but are on a budget, make your own spooktacular decorations! This recycled ghost will definitely add the perfect touch to any home!

Materials:

Empty Milk Jug (cleaned and dried out)

Black felt or construction paper

White crepe paper

Hot Glue Gun

One Strand of White christmas lights

String

Needle

Extension Cord

Directions:

Make Spooky faces out of the black felt or construction paper (if making more than one ghost, try to make the faces different!)

Cut and glue white streamers all alone the bottom of the jug

Glue the faces on top of the white streamers

Place the Christmas lights into the spout of the jug until all the lights are inside

Plug the lights into an extension cord

Poke a hole in the top of the jug and use the string to hang up your new decorations!

Read Between The Lines

Do you ever get sick and tired of the same old color selection at your nail salon?  Well, here is a great way to save water, recycle old paper and GO GREEN! So get ready to read between the lines and create your own newspaper polish!

Materials:

Scissors

Pale Nail Polish

Clear Varnish and Top Coat

Newspaper

Alcohol

Directions:

Cut small pieces of newspaper (big enough to cover nails)

Place the alcohol in a small glass

Paint nails with light polish

Once you nails are dry, soak them in the alcohol

Cover your nails with the newspaper clippings

After several seconds, remove the clippings SLOWLY!!!!!

Let dry and apply the clear top coat

Apply varish
